Don’t look now, but we may have found the coolest bride and groom on the internet. No wonder their Marrakech wedding was a match made in heaven for the ultra-chic team behind @lolievents, who are always up for a global affair. #welltravelledbride

My low season break is nearly here, Jose and I leave next week and we are beyond excited!
Although, I don’t plan to completely switch off from work, any work I do do, will be reserved for exploring and playing with my creativity. After all the planning, coordinating and paperwork, I don’t get nearly as enough time as I would like just designing.
And, we really couldn’t have chosen a more biodiverse country on the planet to reconnect with our passions, ourselves and each other. Any guesses where we’re going?
These beautiful moments are from Arielle and Brendan’s wedding, which I’ll be sharing in full TOMORROW 💥

The Battle of the Eight...Brides?! Today, your bride squad stands by your side, possibly tolerates the nonsensical whims of your bridezillaness leading up to the big day, and supports you throughout the planning process and as you walk down the aisle...But this wasn’t always their only role, which was much more serious back in the day! Their job, as they all (traditionally there were 8) dressed the same as the bride, was to confuse evil spirits or those who wished to harm the bride! So, if there were any evil spirits or jealous aggressors around trying to steal the bride from the groom on her way to the groom’s village before the wedding ceremony (customary in the olden times), they only had a one-in-eight chance of picking out the bride from the pack. Think of it like the polyjuice potion-drinking friends of Harry Potter that helped with transporting him right before his 17th birthday: the Seven Potters designed to confuse Voldemort and the Deatheaters from attacking the real Harry Potter 🥰 Sort of has a magical vibe to it, doesn’t it, when you think about it this way?
Though being a bridesmaid no longer involves mortal danger (except from the occasional bridezilla) nor wearing anything remotely close to that of THE WEDDING DRESS, one thing is certain: the bridesmaids and maid of honor have always played a crucial role in the wedding, whether it was sacrificing herself to save the bride, or help her get dressed on one of the most important days of her life!
My bride squad included a male member as well, even though traditionally it was all females. I just selected those that were closest to me at the time, regardless of their gender! 🥰
