We are getting new cabinets, flooring, and furniture... all we need now is some help with painting! Can you help us out?! 👏🏼 Swipe for details!

"Serving on the A/V team is good for me because I have an eye for detail and love to be invisible. If someone participates in a worship service and doesn't particularly notice that lighting is being changed for different scenarios, then I have done my job well. Being a tech team 'ninja' is satisfying for me." Belinda, A/V Team Member 🙌🏼 #serve#volunteer#churchfamily
My dog is always there for kisses when my horse is being a diva 💁♀️. Lol!
If you are looking for a great grounding exercise, I suggest getting yourself around horses. If you don’t know anybody who has one, find a place near you that is looking for volunteer help. A riding academy or rescue. There are also some healers that offer sessions for this purpose.
Being around an animal that big and powerful forces you to be in the present moment. There is no room for mind chatter, you have to be in the now when working with horses. They also have an uncanny ability to mirror your energy back to you. If you are insecure, they will be too. If your energy is frenetic they will be nervous. If you are calm and grounded they will be calm and responsive. Sometimes it feels like magic!
I didn’t have horses 8 years ago when I found my local riding academy for children and adults with disabilities. I was there twice a week leading horses for kids who were learning to ride. I learned so much about myself during the first year there, and that’s also when my spiritual awakening started. Horses changed my life and I am so glad that I got to pay it forward with Scarlett.
Scarlett is the horse in all the pictures in this post. She came into the riding academy as a donation from a local farmer. She had been dumped on his property starving and broken. He brought her up to weight and donated her. What they didn’t know is that she had ringbone. What they could tell was that her temperament would probably never be good for children. They were looking for someone to take her so we bought a house outside of town and brought her home. I’ve never ridden her because of her arthritis. I’ve never asked her to do anything she didn’t want to, and I think she’s earned that. For not being good for children, her connection with my girls was immediate and very strong.
I am so grateful to have found horses as a way to stay grounded! 💜 If this resonates I definitely suggest trying some horse related activities. 💜💜🐎
